Sarah’s Services

  • A pregnant woman wearing a blue dress making a heart shape with her hands over her stomach, which is holding an ultrasound picture.

    Prenatal Consultation

It is important that you feel comfortable with your doula. You are about to allow her into one of the most intimate spaces that exist. For this reason, I happily offer a 30 minute consultation. This can be done via phone, a zoom chat or even over a cup of tea.

A little explanation…

  • A woman practicing yoga on a cushion with two people assisting her, one adjusting her pose with a strap and another supporting her back, in a cozy living room with a fireplace.

    Prenatal Visits

I would love to help you prepare your mind and your body for your upcoming birth. If you are comfortable with me coming to your home, I will visit with you and your support people two times. Once around 28-30 wks and again at 36 weeks. We will spend 2-3 hrs together each time, hopefully becoming friends, answering all your questions, and giving you as many tools for comfort and confidence as possible.

  • A woman is lying in bed, smiling and touching her head, while another woman sits beside her, talking to her. The scene is illuminated by a bedside lamp, with a fan on a nightstand.

    Labor Support

From the moment you sense that something feels different to the moment we finally get to meet your little one, I want you to feel supported. We will decide together whether that is phone support or physical support as you labor at home, or if I wait until you feel you need my support at your place of birth. Once I'm with you, I stay until your little one arrives and for 2-3 hours afterward to ensure your recovery is going well and to help with that first feeding.

  • Woman holding a newborn baby in a hospital room.

    Postpartum Visit

The first couple of weeks of parenthood are filled with many treasured moments and sometimes a bit of overwhelm. I'd like to visit you in your home around postpartum day 5 to check on how your body is healing, assess how feeding is going, provide any necessary resources, and create a safe space for you to process your birth experience. This visit is meant to be for your benefit, and I fully expect you to be in your pajamas with a nice pile of laundry that I can help you fold during my visit.
